45 ENGINEERING develops research projects in mechanics and machineries.

We are present in sectors in which research and development in mechanics are at the heart of the project. We support companies with technical consultancy, data and feasibility analysis, project coordination, CFD analysis, FEM analysis, mechanical design and optimization, from the study of the mathematical model to construction drawings of the components.

We further support technical offices in need of outsourcing some activities in order to speed up the design processes, supporting internal design departments.

Mechanical Design

We are mechanical engineers and mechanics is our passion.

We are able to precisely determine forces, stresses, dynamic and kinematic actions of mechanical components, machineries and production lines.

We develop new mechanical projects, build calculation models, verify the feasibility, and we are able to industrialize a product. We verify the latest technologies and apply them to the project.

Starting from a blank sheet, we create the bill of materials and the executive project to be delivered to the production department.

Hydraulic and aeraulic design

Operating methodologies may vary. In some cases we proceed to a restricted optimization to improve the performances, still remaining within certain constructive data, for example to comply with some performance parameters imposed by the law.

In other cases, a new turbine is designed, starting from flow and prevalence, to arrive at the executive project for production. In this sector, besides technical skills, it is essential to have experience in the field.

Design and development of automatic machineries

Some companies need part of the project to be outsourced.

We have collaborated in the development of specific products, such as paint stripping tanks or components to be inserted in production lines, taking care of all the steps, from the feasibility analysis to the preparation of the bill of materials for the suppliers.

Optimizations

Optimization is a very powerful tool that allows to analyze complex phenomena and find the best solutions.

For example, we have developed a design criterion for the development of multistage vertical pumps. The pump had six management geometric variables and the objective was to find the runner-conveyor combination that would lead to maximum efficiency with minimum overall dimensions.

We can break down the problem, model it and implement an optimization in order to find a Pareto front or a selection diagram that will become a guiding tool for the project.
