We design hydropower turbines up to 10MW. In this example we reported three horizontal, two-jets Pelton turbines, with 450m net head for an output of 5.0MW for each turbine. The total output of the plant is 15MW.
At 45 Engineering we carried out and supported the design of the turbine including the construction detail of injectors and deflectors, the structural analysis of the casing and the supports, the static and dynamic sizing of the shaft and bearings.
We further optimized the fluid dynamics of Pelton runner, needle and nozzle end.
